Save Space

serva transport systems provides 60% more vehicles on average* in the same area. This is possible via automated and intelligent parking of vehicles – the parking system detects the size of the incoming vehicle and assigns it to its ideal location. Vehicles of different lengths are parked in a space saving configuration, freeing up more space for more vehicles.

Our system shares many the advantages of automatic parking systems, but has greater spatial efficiency. By parking cars in a parallel configuration, we increase the amount of saved space and this is only accomplished by our patented AGV or Automatic Guided Vehicle.

We have developed a robotic solution consisting of proven technologies used in industry for years. Called an Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV), our robot's patented solution allows it to transform to handle different sized vehicles and wheelbases. Its intelligent sensor system prevents damage to a vehicle while insuring the robot navigates surely through a system to park and retrieve vehicles.

The robot when combined with our innovative serva software, creates a solution that is intelligent, economical, and highly efficient while being simple and easy to maintain.

The design is centered on customer service which places emphasis on the reliability of our system and a simple, easy to use process. A user simply parks their car in a large open Vehicle Transfer Station and initiates the parking process. Our robot and serva software does the rest.

In order to retreive a vehicle upon return, we adapt to the flexibility and spontaneity of clients: Whether from work, shopping, or at the Vehicle Transfer Station, the car can be easily retrieved by different means and desires. Serva In Action

Our installation at Düsseldorf International Airport is the first project to implement our vision of automated parking. The demonstration was the first public implementation of our AGV, or automated guided vehicle technology, in an existing parking structure. In the conversion of the structure, we used of our unique open format Vehicle Transfer Stations, which installed quickly and easily. For convenience, the users had the option to use our Mobile Application to schedule and manage their cars. From this successful demonstration, a larger project for VIP Parking will be implemented at Düsseldorf International Airport by the end of 2013.

In the Fall of 2012, the first public implementation of our AGV, or automated guided vehicle technology, in an existing parking structure was successfully implemented. Our AGV went through the rigors of storing cars within a system. From picking up and dropping off cars, traveling its designated paths, to turning on a dime, the AGV performed its tasks as designed. The system moved vehicles from the smallest size Smart Car to full-sized SUVs illustrating the flexibility our platform has. Having the first successful implementation of our AGV, we are set to deliver our latest generation of robots by the end of 2013.

Flexibility and customization are the basis the serva transport systems concept! From quick transport to complex logistics hubs at the ports, our system is adaptable for different requirements. With our sytem and software solution, we can fulfill customer requirements.

As needs change over time, the system can be easily extended and adapted to new operational requirements.

Fully Automatic Vehicle Commissioning

The manual movement of vehicles by drivers is reduced to a minimum.

In a manufacturing scenario, the vehicle is taken off the assembly line and transported to a storage area which as acts as a buffer between the manufacturing line and distribution.

The cars are sorted automatically according to their destination. Once they are called for transportation, they are delivered to transfer stations where they are ready to be picked up by a truck or loaded onto a train for long-distance shipment.

Fully Automated Vehicle Storage

The manual movement of the car is reduced to a minimum.

A driver brings the car directly from the car train to a transfer station at the vehicle storage.

On the other side of the vehicle bearing the car for a ship loading are provided. The serva system knows when that car is needed and provides it to a transfer station.

A driver takes the car and drives him to the ship.

Efficient Parking

Automated and intelligent parking and car handling is our principle:

Our system determines the dimensions of the vehicle to be stored and transports them automatically to the ideal parking slot. Car length is taken into account as this dimension varies widely from one vehicle to another.

We minimize space between cars, saving floor area overall and creating extra space for additional vehicles.

Our automated parking system passed all the tests and it is now officially in operation! 249 automated parking spaces at Düsseldorf Airport can now be used via patented robots by serva transport systems GmbH. At a recent press conference, journalists were keen on the concept. This was reflected by the variety of features seen in the media soon after.

Its opening is not the only new item to report. The official naming of the robot that makes parking quick, safe, and easy was announced. Its name is „Ray.“

An Enthusiastic Merkel Views the Automated Parking System by serva

Distinguished visitors to our booth at the Hannover Fair today, April 7th, 2014, included German Chancellor Angela Merkel. serva’s innovative system was demonstrated to Ms. Merkel upon which she was immediately convinced of its innovation.

The Chancellor was particularly impressed by how serva’s solution can park up to 60 percent more cars in the same space and that it can be easily used to retrofit existing parking structures. Additionally, from her observation, a significant reduction of CO2 emission can be achieved in the automotive industry because our robots are battery powered as it works to transport and store vehicles.

We are very proud to have the opportunity to demonstrate our system during the traditional tour of the exhibition by the Chancellor and her guests. In the demonstration, we drove a car into the transfer station and let our robot „Ray“ take over to park the car into its space. Last but not least, we were able to demonstrate to Chancellor Merkel and her guests, including Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, the diverse applications in which our innovation can be applied – from logistics firms to car manufacturers, car-sharing clubs to parking at airports or in cities. Last but not least, serva transport systems showed how it can bring great benefits for motorists in the future in the form of convenient, quick, easy, and safe parking.

Having reached the finals, serva will now be coached by Porsche for one year. In addition, Prof. Klaus Fischer of Fischer Dübel will contribute his expertise for two years as a sponsor. We give many thanks for this great nomination to the Finals.

A jury of 300 experts from Sparkasse, Porshe, ZDF, as well as various sponsors for this year's award, nominated us as one of three finalists in the „Real Innovation“ Start-Up Catergory. Minimal Installation

serva transport systems are always individual custom solutions, but our standardized components makes customized designs fairly simple with minimal installation requirements.

The architecture of a building is not limited by our systems as with conventional automated parking. Our solution does not require the rigour that mechanical systems require. Our simple, independent robots ride on standard concrete and are not tied to tracks, chains, or any mechanics installed into a building.

An existing garage can be converted in most cases into a space-saving and service-oriented serva transport system. Even partial conversion, where traditional parking garage and a serva transport system work in tandem, can be implemented very quickly and simply.
